Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation and without them we could not carry out our work.

The majority of volunteers with ALONE are part of the Visitation / Befriending Service.

There are currently over 85 volunteers carrying out around 200 home visits to older people in the Dublin area.

Volunteers are also involved in running social events and the annual holiday for older people.

Volunteers must be over 18 years of age and have completed an ALONE induction process.

All volunteer applicants are screened and Garda vetted.

Please note that the ALONE Visiation / Befriending Service currently does not operate outside of the Dublin area.

Volunteer Recruitment

Volunteer Recruitment Rounds take place several times a year.
